Build WASH Systems!

Build Trust. Build Peace

Sometimes, peacebuilding looks like a WASH system.

It looks like community leaders sitting at the same table to solve a shared problem. It looks like residents having a real voice in the services they depend on. It looks like local institutions growing stronger and more accountable. And it looks like a family trusting that the tap will work tomorrow, just as it did today.

At HANWASH, we don't claim that water alone can solve Haiti's challenges. But we have seen, again and again, what happens when a community comes together around its most basic need. Reliable water builds trust. Trust makes cooperation possible. Cooperation creates stability. And stability is the ground where peace can take root.

Peace is built: one system, one community, and one relationship at a time.

That is the heart of HANWASH 2.0. We work with people, helping families value and sustain safe water and sanitation. We strengthen institutions, so that service is delivered professionally and reliably. And we build trust and cooperation through local governance and collective action, so that communities own the systems that serve them.

This year, you have a special opportunity. Thanks to the generosity of CHRISTOFF FAMILY, every gift made by December 31, 2026, will be matched dollar for dollar until we reach our $250,000 matching goal. That means $250,000 in gifts becomes $500,000 for water, sanitation, and the trust and stability that come with them. A gift of $500 becomes $1,000. A gift of $1,000 becomes $2,000.

Build WASH Systems. Build Peace. Double Your Impact.
